Hi Guys, after reading through these bible of pages i managed to get everything to work, so just like to say a big thank you to those that spend time on developing new Apps & Hacks for us novices to play with.
This is how my head finally got around getting the PS3 controller to work with the N900
First I downloaded the 6 axis support from the App Manager, this installed the 2 apps that was required and readied the N900.
second i installed the LIBUSB program onto my win 7 64bit pc, this lets the pc see the PS3 pad.
thirdly i used the Glove Pie software, which allows me to manually change the bluetooth infomation on the pad so its paired, as normally you can only pair it with usb.
finally i only wanted to use the pad with the SNES emulator, so for my button configuration i opened a new sms and pressed all the ps3 buttons to find out the corrisponding letters, and then was simply a case of changing the key settings in the SNES emulator to match the buttons on the pad.
I hope this post helps other confused people, as reading some of these posts started to make me feel out of my depth, and really its quite simple if you break it down
ready phone
ready pc
change bluetooth info
change buttons

You could also press the pad button right in the DrNokSNES key assignment menu.
Hi, i just tried a sixaxis on my n900, with my nintendo 64 emulator port but i encounter a little problem. I'm using a modified input plugin, it can either use SDL keyboard events or joypad events. The problem is since sixaxis joypad events seems to be mapped to keyboard events, this cause some problem to use the keyboard and joypad as same time, since under SDL joypads event are returned as keyboard event.
Is there a simple way to desactivate the keyboard mapping ?
