Hey guys, I just got my N900 today! I love it! But I do have one problem I can't seem to get by, and I did search the forums for literally 3 hours so I was hoping if I asked it in a new thread maybe it would help other people who can't figure it out as well.

My problem is I have a .avi movie on my computer that I am trying to put on the N900 and it won't let me do it using the "Transfer Movie" setting on the PC Suite, and I don't know how else I can put it on my phone.

I read about the VLC player, anyone know how I install the VLC player on my N900 and transfer the video onto the phone itself?

Thank you, and sorry again if I did not find an answer on the forums, but I did try and now I just have a massive headache lol.

You will have the micro USB cable that came with the package. Insert one to your computer usb port and another to n900's and from the computer where you have the movie - right click it and send to -> N900. Thats it. OR, right click->copy and go to the folder in "Computer" directory and open "N900" folder and right click->paste. Seriously, there are many other ways..

EDIT: BTW, when you connect your mobile choose USB mode in you N900.

Hey man, thanks for your reply. I tried the "Send to" and it wouldn't show up so I did it the other way. Copy and pasting it into the "N900" device, but I was wondering do I have to put it in the "Data" folder, or will just the "N900" one suffice?

    Thanks for your quick reply
