is it possible to remove the camera from the n900 and give it more memory and or processing power???

if so how?

You could possibly remove the camera but I see no reason to do so. I don't think its possible to upgrade the memory or the processor.

With good tools everything is possible. A hammer, a saw, a soldering-iron and some ducttape should help here, as this also helped me a lot when I put a couch on my lawn-mower to use it as a car afterwards.

if you want more processing power you do not need to actually take out the camera....if your knowledgeable about the system all you have to do is:

Find all the processes relating to the camera and kill them (shut them down) this is possbile through xterm....the same can be said for memory card processes.

I honestly dont think anyone would be willing to tell you what processes to kill or how to kill them though, since n900 isn't exactly at an affordable status, meaning you probably wont be able to buy another if your phone gets spoilt.

The camera unplugs from the system board, but the CPU, RAM and storage are all very well soldered in place. Which is more than can be said about the USB port... (sorry, couldn't resist that pot shot)
