I didn't include any kind of graphical user interface for it, so you have to go to the terminal and execute Bochs from the command line:
/opt/bochs/bin/bochs
It takes some time to get to know how to use it, so please be patient..
YESSSS FINALLY A SEGA MEGA DRIVE(GENESIS) EMULATOR IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL OF N0KIA N900 USERS....its an updated version of picodrive and works perfectly, better then drnoksnes if i may say so..

Ive seen on the internet that there is a 3DO emulator being worked on for Linux, any chance this could be ported to n900? i still think the 3DO had the best version of Need For Speed, it would be cool to have this on the phone.

Not too sure about it being ported but your right it was the best version and the original system that need for speed started on (i think). I must admit i was/am a massive fan of the playstation version and still looking to get an emulator which will load the playstation version of need for speed or any version for that matter. i can play a dos version but it doesn't support joystick/pad.
Any news on Amstrad and Atari Lynx emulators and most of all a Commodore Amiga emulator?
PS3: No
X360: No
Wii: No
Xbox: No
PS2: No
Gamecube: No
PSP: No
Dreamcast: No, if so <15fps
N64: No, if so <25fps
PSX: Yes, expect 40 - 60fps depending on the quality of the emulator
Anything below PSX yes, expect near full speed.
DS: No, if so <30fps* and uncomfortable side-side position
*interesting to note DS has slightly worse graphics than PSX thus (logically) should have a speedier emulator but the dual displays really has its toll and makes emulation far slower.
I think to theoretically achieve:
- Dreamcast need ~2x more power = 1.2GHz A8 or 800MHz A9 or 500MHz dual-A9 with upgraded GPU & 512Mb RAM
- PSP need ~2.5x more power = 1.5GHz A8 or 1GHz A9 or 650MHz dual-A9 with upgraded GPU & 512Mb RAM
- Gamecube need ~3.5x more power = 2GHz A8 or 1.4GHz A9 or 950MHz dual-A9 with upgraded GPU & 1000Mb RAM
Just so you know, there's a N64 emu currently in development it I get the impression that it's moving along quite nicely. Already got 20fps without any optimization or GPU acceleration.
