How do I debug the application launch process via the dbus service?

I have X-Osso-Service in app.desktop file defined.
I have the app.service file.
I have osso_initialize(PACKAGE_DBUS_NAME, PACKAGE_VERSION, TRUE, NULL); in app start.
But the application launcher does not start my app. It shows blank screen with app name and spinner but the app is not launched.

I tried replacing the app binary with simple script with "touch /tmp/app" and the file is not created when I select the app in app menu - so the app is not even launched.

I'm puzzled.

You may laugh or cry, but...:

In /usr/share/dbus-1/services/pcsx.service, you put "[D-Bus Service]" at the top. I replaced it with "[D-BUS Service]" and all's good.

for this stuff, I suggest the SDK x86 target. You can kill dbus and launch it with debug flags, recompile it with your own trace statements, etc. Did wonders in the initial phases of the DrNokSnes GUI (which you might have seen uses a two process approach), when everything I had were headaches.

I tried dbus-monitor, but it didn't give me any good.
