If you don't know that, I'd be tempted to say you have no use for it. (But yes, you do)
If you really want to learn it, why don't you read up on it. There are numerous threads about it in this forum, and a lot of articles on blogs etc. This constant creating of threads, for every one of your small problems, I consider spamming, and it's annoying.
I'd like to know the main variations with using it on a desktop and using it on the n900. Main question is:
Do we have to configure the drivers to use it sucessfully on the n900? A lot of the tutorials speak of messing with drivers. I don't think we have to... I'll download it off devel now.
can you give some example commands that worked for you? i've never used it before and i'm having trouble figuring out what to do on the n900 in terms of drivers etc. :/ some example commands that worked for you would be much appreciated
Does any aircrack experienced user know what this means and or where and how we can intergrate aircrack sucessfully with the n900? seems if i want to audit a network properly i have to use airmon anyway, please let me know if that isn't the case. :P i havent had time to do real research recently ergh.
i tried: "airodump-ng --ivs wlan0" and got
ARP linktype is set to 1 (Ethernet) - expected ARPHRD_IEEE80211,
ARPHRD_IEEE80211_FULL or ARPHRD_IEEE80211_PRISM instead. Make
sure RFMON is enabled: run 'airmon-ng start wlan0 <#>'
Sysfs injection support was not found either.
i have no idea about aircrack on a desktop machine in the first place, so... hmm yes ideas, anyone?
