    konttori.

Thanks for the response. I have both python and mplayer installed. UKMP works fine, just can't get UKTube going. Any other thoughts?

I second that. Having it in a repository to get updates would be much improved.

    coheed22:
I can't integrate playback to the application itself, as flash video is not supported by the nokia codecs. And mplayer has all the codecs one needs. So, it's a compromise that had to be made. You say that it messes up your screen every time you play video? Really? 770 or n800? Does this happen to other people?

uktube can only be desktop applet when Nokia releases next firmware.
After that, I'll consider it. Have to test and see if it makes sense, works and all, but if it does, I'll release it pretty soon.
I'll also try to get it application manager manageable soon.

I just tested on my it 2006 770 as well. Seems to work just fine.

    Try opening xterm.
    Write uktube
    press enter
    See what happens.

If there is an error, please let me know.

Now that you mention it, I do believe it happens to me once in a while. After exiting the app, I sometimes end up with what looks like a zoomed-in "desktop". The menu bar and quick-launch area are larger than normal. A quick screen lock and unlock fixes it. It happens rarely for me.

Yeah, I have gotten it a two times as well, but I consider that 'acceptable'. But in case that happens like every other time or something like that, then it becomes seriously uncool. Thanks for the screen lock/unlock tip! I have rebooted on those two occasions.

    konttori.

    Error message is as follows:

    File "/usr/bin/uktube", line 31, in ?
    import netrc
    ImportError: No module named netrc
    ~ $

Thanks for the consideration and prompt attention. All developers should take this kind of interest in their apps and their successful implementation.

It seems that netrc is not included in Maemo's python2.4. I got this same error before I installed python2.5-runtime.

    Tragos.

Good call. I didn't realize that I hadn't upgraded Python from 2.4 to 2.5. Works fine now. Thanks.

I don't know if this is just a maemo 3.1 issue (it may be fixed after I upgrade to 3.2) or if its actually a UKMP issue (since the only files on the SD card shown here are in the "covers" directory created by UKMP).

    Ideas?

This is a 2GB card, btw!

    Thanks,
    Tim
