Hey

First I just accepted it, but I guess I'll have to go update once.
Here's my problem. The latest FW is still not installed on my device. Facts:
-The FW takes needs 16,2 mb
-My application memory has a lot of space
-rootfs has 34,4 mb free
-when I want to update it tells me that there's not enough space in the targetvolume.

So: WTF? Who can please help me?

Thanks in advance,
Thijs

You need about 45 MB free in rootfs to install this update. If you've extras-devel or extras-testing enabled, disable them to gain some additional free space.

You could try and reboot your phone to get some more free space.

it would be very kind if you could post what you did when you managed to get enough free rootfs space back. I am a little bit afraid of the PR1.2 update now. I also just have 33MB free space in rootfs

I just removed some apps, disabled some repo's(hint from dsawhney) and cleared my inbox. Then reboot(why not) and see what happened. That's for me..

Its the stupidest thing nokia ever did! making the damn rootfs so small. It always the freaking same thing! on n95 low memory on n96 to low memory. Im getting sick and tired of these stupid mistakes nokia makes over and over again!

optified apps?? great!!! but it still needs rootfs space! Good going nokia!

I already reflashed new firmware and restored apps from backup twice. This is no harder than OTA. I didn't lost anything with the process. No probs here. ;P
