You don't need to do that!

Take battery out of N900,
Put battery back in,
Plug N900 into your computer with USB cable
Wait a few minutes,
Your n900 internal memory will come up
Format the memory

That's only the MyDocs partition though, and I very much doubt that formatting that will fix a reboot loop. That's usually caused by a problem in the user configuration files (in /home/user) which is best fixed by reflashing the eMMC.

Oh yes sorry, not thinking straight.

Yeah use ubuntu for eMMC flashing, windows doesn't work.

hmm... strange....with my device is emmcflashing possible @ WinXP_32bit_sp3....

are u sure that you have all drivers correkt installed``?? there are 2 or 3 drivers for this.... and if only one is not installed it can be that you can flash only one part of two.... witch error message u get from the flasher..??

look @ ur "gerätemanger" (device manager??) in winxp.... are there "unknown devices" or yellow "!" ??

if it is an driver fault i could try to extract the drivers from my system and upload it for u....

greetz & good luck

that would be nice if u could extract your drivers. my device manager says that all drivers are installed. the flasher dont show any error i connect my n900 and the flasher says found usb... then booting into flashmode or something like that and then waits for usb device and the n900 shows up the five dots where it hangs on the second.

I had my eMMC flashed on Windows XP a couple of days ago. Although before I flashed, Windows thought it'd be fun to install the wrong driver for the N900. I disconnected the N900, removed the driver, then started over.

Apparently it is possible to flash from a Vista/Win7 64 bit machine too, but you have to do some unsigned drivers stuff.

MyN900de, it sounds like me like you're connecting a booted up N900. The N900 should be turned off. You should press the "u" button on the keyboard on your turned off device, and then connect it to the USB cable while still pressing the "u" button. The N900 will then connect to windows in the update mode.

Is that what you're doing?

Okay, it wasn't clear to me. The same driver set that works with flashing the firmware would also work with flashing the eMMC. Then I am also assuming you've tried to download the eMMC file again in case of corruption.
