I definitley am NOT a techy!

I have a Palm T3 which does NOT support A2DP but a 3rd party software company recently released a $20 program that now adds A2DP to the Palm T3, software only, no hardware mods!

If it can be done on a very old Palm then perhaps there's hope for a new n800?

You want an example? Go to Tableeter and try to answer the survey about the new changes in the firmware update under the support tab. IRONIC!

Is it me alone that the browser scroll bar does not show up correctly?!?!?

It's unfortunate that some are let down by the update. I did expect that, and said so. But I never said this was the end-all, be-all for the N800. There will be more updates for the device. Think of this one as a sort of... bridge to the tablet's future.

you wrote this in respnse to one of my posts, therefore:

i wasnt referring to you when i wrote it. dont know what makes you think so even though i stated otherwise meanwhile. i always appreciated you as a source of high-quality information and, even more, a lot of fun. i feel sorry if it was my posting that contributed to how you feel although it referred to threads you didnt even participate in.

That wasn't in reference to you benny, it was a general post.

EDIT: I see where the confusion comes from, benny. I didn't mean to imply you were the malcontent. I sincerely apologize for that! He knows who he is, and all anyone has to do is check the unsolicited smartass comments to figure it out.

Again, my utmost apologies.

I wish all the stereo headsets didnt suck. So for now I don't mind having no A2DP support.

I hope the next firmware focuses on Opera 9 and Flash 9. Just make them perfect... Ok and maybe that email client

Or, am I wrong?

I believe that you are wrong ... for now. That is for updating the Maemo SDK environment within scratchbox. If you do this on your tablet, things will likely mysteriously break on you. There is some murmurings that this sort of update will be supported in the future but maybe the future will be clearer on the 17 July with Ari's keynote at the GNOME devs conference.

Looks like the latest GPE summary does not work with this update. I had to use the .60 version.

It's not just you. The scrollbars don't show up at all in Opera for me, but some other parts of the frame-buffer (or whatever) appear in a buggy way.

It is getting worst. The search field in Youtube for instance is missing. Please people I *REALLY* need to know: It's just me???

Not bad, Milhouse, not bad at all.
Which suggests this firmware was built only last week, quite unlike previous firmwares which were built several weeks prior to release. Perhaps there was a critical bug found which necessitated another build, but I'm just guessing.

So far I'm a little underwhelmed with the release, and disappointed to see quite a number of trivial bugs that have been raised in Bugzilla not fixed in this release.

Good to see screen sensitivity is improved, but is it just me as I'm losing a lot of clicks. It's hard to reproduce on demand, but it's persistent - often when I click a button nothing registers.
