hi there!

Just got my N800 yesterday and it came with an SD card that is an adapter for putting microSD cards into...

embarassingly I cant get the adapter thing open to fit my MMC card into! its got some sort of "flap" on the top it seems but I am not sure how to open it...

sorry I know thats a bit vague but was hoping anyone who got such an adapter with their N800 might know what I was talking about and know how to open it!

the adapter is nokia branded if that helps...

When I got mine, I had a lot of difficulty with it. My problem, which sounds like what you're experiencing, is that I did what the label said to do. I couldn't get the card out. I showed it to a friend, and he pulled it out like it was nothing. Just pull the card straight out.

Keep in mind you only need the adapter for Mini-SD cards - MMC's fit fine as-is in both slots.

ah ok good point - for some reason I had it in my head I HAD to use that adapter but I do have some normal cards I can use instead.

I just put the Mini-SD card it came with in the adapter it came with, and voila - free 128mb card The N800 has two slots (one inside the battery cover, one on the bottom under the stand), so you can use both your own card and the freebie from Nokia.
