I can register any softphone to my FreeSWITCH box, but the N900 will not connect. I am using my dynamic dns address. I am connecting through wifi at home and will not connect. I am suspecting that it may be related to the issue of the sip client not being able to register through a vpn connection because it uses the wifi and not the tunnel address. Any thoughts?

I should add that I am not trying to go through a vpn. I am trying to use the dynamic dns address that resolves to a public address. The address is ping-able.
So, it may be that the sip client is overwriting the from address.

My N900 worked with milkfish installed in a router and also with a standard SIP provider.

have you tried to create a standard SIP account on any SIP servers just to test N900 settings? Then you could create another one for your FreeSWITCH.
