Have done several reboots now with the new firmware and the HTTPS Opera hang is still there with any site that uses HTTPS.

There also since to be a related problem with REDIRECTS as I explained above.
Have seen this already in several sites, such as tapping on the the TABLETEER link (Open Opera, then click on the left down world image, then click on the "Tableteer" link) I am getting a 302 FOUND page. It used to work fine before.....

I didn't do backup and I am having any problem neither with Opera, nor with the text entry not with https.

If it's a problem of the backup, probably erasing the Opera config directory, these problems are eliminated.

Cheers.

This is "FIXED".

I had experienced the https issues described in this thread. This is positive.

While playing around with my N800, I configured my Internet Messaging accounts , Installed and configured another email client (Claws-Mail) and in general peeked here and there on the N800 with the new firmware.

Find out about the Enable Automatic Redirection flag on the Opera settings, enabled it as it was off.

Then I just tried to login again into my secure web site (https) to test the redirection thing and to my joy I found that the https issue was gone. !!!!

I don't really know what exactly fixed the https issue (or if it was really badly broken in the first place vs. mis-configured) but the problem is gone now. I can log into any https secured site and works fine.

Has anyone else got their Opera https (newest firmware) issues fixed already ?

Comments ?

Greetings Febb:

Ok, my Yahoo Https mail site works, and my Bank Https site works.
But Maemo garage still hangs, I think maemo's server has a problem.

Thanks a million for finding out this issue.

Ok, next issue, why can't the new firmware see my old backup file on my SD card.

Regards Robert

Your backup was probably corrupt. Perhaps you ran out of space in mid-backup?

At what point does your access to Maemo Garage hangs ? I can get into it and browser around with no problem.

Lets see if I can replicate your trouble....

Cheers

Does anyone know how to flash my n800 back to the previous os here:
http://maemo.org/community/wiki/HOWT...yFlashing%2529

I need help doing this. I am having all the same problems. My Enable Automatic Redirection was checked. So I don't understand why it worked for some of you.

Some sites need ssl2, which must also then be checked.

I just upgraded to new firmware and did NOT restore from backup.

I have https issues with claws AND opera.

My apache server is showing client not sending a certificate...yet I have two personal certs in store signed by self-signed CA which is in store as trusted cert.

N800 also states "server cert not trusted" yet I have this same cert imported into trusted store. When I attempt to display the supposedly bad server cert opera hangs.

I did not upgrade to openssl and should have orig ssleay with device.

This should be working...done this a million times with different devices.

On a side note...most games with point/click/drag (except chess) fail to work...the 100-solitaire pack, etc. all fail.
