Does anyone know how the new Opera works with Google applications -- like Doc & SPreadsheet and Calendar?

I tried to make Opera spoof Mozilla by hacking the .opera.ini file, and I still get the User-Agent line:

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.78 (X11; Linux armv6l; U) Opera 8.5 [en_US] Tablet browser 0.0.14 RX-34_2007SE_4.2007.26-8

And so Google barfs and tells me my browser is not supported.

Before I go and install privoxy, I'd appreciate knowing it's worth it. If the new Opera works with Google, I'll do it.

Any clues? Thanks!

for me, it didn't work with docs. cannot click on new document to start one.

but it seems to work for calendar...though I did not do much testing.

From what I understand The Opera app itself doesn't have the installed gizmo's that make these web apps work.

I believe there is another value in the ini that NeWS to be changed to a 1 or some such. I don't remember. I

It has been my experience in the past that you can call the N800 Opera browser anything you want and these Ajax web apps served by googles site still won't run.

I don't know nothin' 'bout no Privoxy. However I read other members Privoxy experiences and felt it wasn't worth the effort.

BTW, Mozilla will run some of the Google bits in the old firmware anyway. Give a try. Maybe something has changed...
