would it be possible for someone to create a small app to turn the phone into "stealth mode",
i mean toggle on/off camera sounds disable flashes and red video LEDs all with one button press (desktop shortcut)

Here. You can mute the camera by replacing or removing the relevant sound files from the rootfs or just switch to Silent mode.

What do you need this for?

just thought i may come in handy!

out and about and wanting to surreptitiously record film or take pictures without needing to alter any settings or go into menus etc!

i dont want it for dodgy purposes.......
my little un is a right poser. if she knows photos/vids are happening then they are suddenly no longer natural.

was also thinking if i were to witness a crime or something similar you may not want to advertise the use of camera etc. yeah,a tad far fetched i know, but best to be prepared! ;0)

Excellent idea...my girl has said she'd never pose for nudie photos...with an app like this she wouldn't have to ;-)

altho that depends on what yer girl is like i guess...........!
