Poke around in /usr/share/themes.

I'm working on a control panel applet to allow you to change font size dynamically.

you mean that we could have, for instance, font 12 also using the default themes? I'd love you more than what I already do if you ever succeed

I have been using these ever since I had my 770, and they work great. I prefer the 14pt size, it's more in proportion to the screen rez. Once you install the package from the author's homepage, you'll have duplicates of all the stock themes, but with the smaller fonts.

thanks for the link, I thought I'd have to remain with the stock font.. I used to use nuvo or vista, but they do not install over the new update (and I do not want to flush skype for such a small thing, and go back to 3.2007...)

No problem, hope those two font sizes work well for you...I did forget to mention, I am running the new firmware and those themes work just fine.

I'm with you, I don't like the stock size, it's too big. The RSS applet on the desktop is much nicer with smaller fonts, as is the bookmark list and the program list.

Yes, or a 13pt version of NuvoBlack etc.

Theoretically it should also allow the changing of the font itself to any you've got installed.

So you could copy Comic Sans MS to ~/.fonts and set that to be your font at 120% of default size ;-)

It's only at the planning stage so far, but initial tests prove positive.

To be blunt, if you don't know the chances of you bricking your tablet (or seriously destabilising it) make me wary of giving more detail!

The leading "/" says that it's from the root directory on the device, so you'll need to open xterm and use the shell, or (perhaps) Midnight Commander to locate the correct gtkrc file and edit it.
