    how to delete Easy Debian that didnt uninstall

    Hi guy i installed easy dabian chroot for my n900 but decided not to use untill i get a microSD card to install the image, so uninstalled it but it left a app icon "close debian" when i click on it it just closes but how do i delete or uninstall this?

    its not in app manager and i'm a linux n00b.

    does any one know if i reinstall, reboot and uninstall will it get rid of it?

    I strongly suggest you to try to do it as you said before going for the command line way.

    Anyway, it can be done by hand. Basically you have to remove every file that is in the package (dpkg -c <package.deb> to get the list), and remove the package from /var/lib/dpkg/status.

    i just installed ands rebooted and then uninstalled still have "close debien" but it does not do anything, tries to load then pop closes.

    whats the next step please? i'm new to linux

    I *think* it could be in /usr/share/applications/hildon on your phone.
    However I'm not an expert and this requires some terminal skills (gaining root and moving a file at least) and sincerely you'd better wait for somebody else to confirm this or to suggest another way.
    If you decide to try it, I suggest you move the file somewhere else (like /opt) and restore it if something goes wrong.

    Hi thanks i finally got rid of it,

    and just deleted the app link. (i made backup incase)

    do the following

    go to xterminal

    write the following

    I installed Easy Debian today, but for some reason it didn't work.
    Since I was doing it just for the fun of it (Not because I needed it), I decided to try it when I actually need it, and uninstall completely.

    Apart from Unistalling from the apps manager, and deleting the image in MyDocs, is there anything else I should delete/Uninstall?
