One option is to use dbus-scripts package. For configuring it you can use dbus-scripts-settings which has a gui for selecting scripts to run on specific events.

It is available in extras-devel and in my repository. After you install it, you can write configuration files that tell it what scripts to run on what d-bus events.

The simplest way to generate such configuration file is to use dbus-scripts-settings package (in the same repositories). This is a GUI application that allows you to select events in a human readable format (in your case you will select USB event).
