open the keyboard lock your screen and hit power key this screen comes up then, hit shift+ctrl+P that will save the image in your photos.

ps: I would still like to see either I have a miss call or text waiting on the unlock screen it doesnot even have to tell me number of missed or number of text waiting.

Is it possible to implement missed calls/tex messages count with yellow notification after operator name? There is couple of centimeters useless space.

I've built a simple python app (my first one ever by the way, yay! ) that will take the lockslider picture and place another picture over it, which i then write the number of missed calls and text messages based on nex's code (see above). It then saves all this as an image "lockslider.png" in the same folder. So if we can place the script in the theme folder and run it when an sms or call is recieved it will update the lockslider image with the new information. I'll try post it soon, but i'm currently at work with no cable (and mobile internet here is expensive )

All thats needed now is running the script when needed

Here you go Hope it works. Having never developed for linux, I'm not sure if this should work on people's N900's like it does on mine, but hope so. If there are any issues or problems, I'll try to fix them.

Also can someone help me increase the font size? I can't seem to get it any bigger

Edit: The red parts is to hide my personal details (incase anyone was wondering)

    Hello,

we are working on the same projects
I started a very similar project some days ago ( maenotify ).
I'm quite ready to release it, but I still miss how to get the missed calls when the screen is locked and some alignment problem.
I didn't see your code but I suppose we are using the same technique.
    Here is a screenshot:
