I'm in a situation where my N900 and car stereo doesn't connect automatic. I'm wondering as a linux noob that is there maybe a xterm command that connects N900 to specific bluetooth device. That way i could atleast connect with one shortcut click. At the moment i must go to menu -> settings -> bluetooth -> device -> edit -> connect ... Not that user friendly.. =)

Is it possible to use a bluetooth car sterio AND bluetooth handsfree device at the same time? For example, music will play over the bluetooth car sterio, and phone over bluetooth handsfree device?

@craftyguy

Why would want to use headphones while listening music from car stereo? My car stereo handles both same time.

I take this silence as no.

I'd like a variant of the same thing, in my case to disconnect my bluetooth headphones from the N900 easily so that I can connect to them with my iPod Touch...

Actually, I drive a convertible, so any of the handsfree car stereos with separate microphones do not work as the wind noise is too loud. I would obviously mute the car sterio if I got a call on the handsfree device.

What is the usable distance between the N900 and the bluetooth receptor ? more than with the FM transmitter ? the sound is better than with the FM transmitter ?

That's right and I'm not talking about getting music shared and played in the N900 mediaplayer.
I would like if it is possible to stream all the audio that the Laptop makes can be streamed to the N900 since it's selectable as output besides the soundcard but I can't get it to work.
