I used to have a HTC Touch Diamond and when i setup my BT Yahoo email account on it, it automatically retrieved the settings and all was well. When I used to mark an email as read, it would reflect that on the server, if I deleted it off the phone it would delete it off the server etc.
I then got my new phone, a Nokia N900, i setup email on this and again it automatically got the settings however it marks the emails read as they are downloaded on my phone and if i delete them on the phone, none of the changes are reflected on the server. I checked the settings and saw it was using POP3 and so i assumed my touch diamond was using imap so i searched for the imap settings for BT Yahoo email and it turns out they dont support imap.
So my questions are, how was my touch diamond reflecting the changes i did on it, and is it possible for me to do this again on the N900?
Its rather annoying, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Kaos.
