media player -only play mp3 in audio folder - maemo.org

Hi guys, i recently installed sygic which includes mp3s files in folder (in root) and also mega CD games which have mp3s,

the media player seems to pick up all mp3 files on the phone which is annoying because i dont want to hear them when i want to listen to music.

any way to tell media player to only show files in audio folder?

You can edit the tracker config file (/home/user/.config/tracker/tracker.cfg) or use the tracker-cfg application (still in Extras-devel) to add any folders to the exclusion list. I think you then need to reindex everything in order for the changes to get picked up ("tracker-processes -r" or use the menu option in tracker-cfg).

thanks for reply, installed the app, didnt understand it well so uninstalled it.

manually added directories that i didnt want scanning
