I bought my n900 some months ago...
but till now i can't figure out how to send things like photos, mp3s or even videos through bluetooth...

i can pair my device to any other devices and receive files from them through bluetooth but when i try to send any thing, it gives : "Connection Failed to ____________"

    this is really annoying...

please can somebody help me figure it out???

Please help... i'm having the same problem... (almost... I managed to send a file to my cousin's nokia 65 something or other but that's it)

I've paired my n900 to my Vista laptop (which was successful) and cannot send any files then from the phone to the pc... always comes back with connection failed.

Also I've tried to send images to my partner's blackberry... same problem... connection failed.

I've clicked the bluetooth icons to set the pc/blackberry ready to receive files when i'm sending... but still nothing.

I've downloaded and installed petrovich and ok so i can attempt to send 'any' file in a 'file-manager' style application but it still won't connect.

I'm starting to go mad with this now... it's a feature of my old n82 that I used a lot and it's starting to put me off this n900... i'm not stupid by any means but i'm new to linux and maemo so maybe there is something simple i've missed here... but please someone... take pity and help me! *ingratiating smile*

    cheers.

Try looking in this thread. There is a buggy workaround, but there is more talk of this topic here.

    Bluetooth BT Send file Problem

Ira, if your not using Petrovich I recommend trying that.

For starters what are you trying to send to? A car, a PC, a MAC, a nokia?

Not everyone carries a usb around. What if it is a computer that isn't yours?
