How do I completely WIPE a program off a device, like for example, when you uninstall a program on windows there a files left, like registaries, file extensioms and things like 'cookies' program style. Need to remove picodrive.

    Thanks
    Ryan

Well, it varies from program to program but for Picodrive (after uninstalling it from Application Manager):
    gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/maemo/picodrive
    rm -rf /home/user/.picodrive

If your app leaves files in your home directory, it might be desirable to remove them too.

    Some usual locations:
    /home/user/.yourapp/ (warzone2100, Skype, queen_beecon_dir, PCSX)
    /home/user/.yourapprc (gnumeric, mytube, scummvm)
    /home/user/.config/YourApp (AppWatch, keepassx)

You can also purge the package using terminal:
    E.G: dpkg --purge picodrive
