i dont think i was even close to 2500 when my device told me "no space for new messages - no more messages will be sent/received until space is freed", or something along they lines. used a app to export them and deleted unneeded threads.

glogarchive, its in the repos but cant remember which one. just checked the backup n i reckon it was about the 1500 mark i topped out at
Is there a maximum amount of messages we should store on the device for optimal use? Whats the capacity for message storage?
Same questions about email.
