Yeah I got that too and I figured it may install what it needs if you uninstall and reinstall it...not the case lol

(I know - waiting until we actually had the update would've been nice, but...)
i hope the update comes soon because I'm starting to figure out that more and more apps wil be commited with PR1.2 compilation

How about holding the button to toggle lights on?

On a side note, I hop 1.2 gets here already, I have a pile of updates in my list and it blinks every morning but there is nothing there.

Done -- check 1.3. Now you just have to wait 'til PR 1.2 to use it.

I agree, seems like they made the update prior to the PR Firmware update...so we all have to wait for it to install once we do the firmware update.

Maybe you can set the dependency version manually, so that the package will be installable on PR1.1.1. It does not mean that it will work, but it might be worth a try.

Resorted to "sed -i "s/libhildon1 (>= 2.2.10)/libhildon1/" debian/simple-brightness-applet.substvars"

Whilst it is dirty and doesn't guarantee it to work, I console myself with the fact that I shouldn't have had to resort to that in the first place -- the repository needs to be managed a lot better.

I wonder why they force this on developers. Once the 1.2 is here, loads of apps will get updated at the same time and nobody will know who broke what and why. Is it the new firmware or a bug from the developer? I think this is less than wise.

Also, how long ago did they lock 4.6 from repository? 2 weeks? It's not Real Soon Now.
