    Hey!

I just got some x-rays made of my N900, and made them the right wallpaper size.

The first thing I thought when I saw the x-rays is DAMN that thing is packed with hardware! You can hardly see anything, especially when the device is closed!
It's cool to know that not a millimeter of space has been wasted in the N900, but I was hoping for a little more visibility into the device.

I've also added a few wallpapers of game controller x-rays.
All x-rays were made by Reinier van der Ende, check out his flickr page, he's got alot more game console/controller x-rays on there!

    hope you like them!

    The full device, closed

This is what's exactly under your screen when you set it as a background (closed)

    The full device, opened

This is what's exactly under your screen when the device is opened

And here are a few controllers:

    EDIT:

Here are the 2 way more detailed x-ray's designer2k2 made!

    Did the N900 work 100% after x-rays, I wonder.
What kind of x-ray machine he uses, do you know?

X-ray is (in general) not harmful to electronics. The metal detector is what can mess up your devices. Always put your electronics in the x-ray machine when you go to the airport.

I don't know the exact equipment, but it's the same machine used for broken bodyparts, he works at a hospital.

The xray doesn't harm the machine at all, he has xrayed loads of gameconsoles and none of them were harmed. He's an expert and sais it has no impact so I trust that. And electronics get xrayed loads of times on airports and such

Wow... you were not kidding, they _really_ are x-rays of an N900! Nice
(When I read the topic title I expected a self-made image of what a N900 could look like if it were x-rayed... Boy was I wrong )
Looks quite cool, the x-rays of the controllers are also a nice addition!
    Thank you

    Dries

Thanks check the flickr paged mentioned in my first post for more console xrays and stuff!
And to compare it to an iPhone 3GS xray :P

We're probably going to sell tshirts with these xrays some day Maybe not the n900 one though :P

    (hope the link works)

its stiched so with some warping, but the details can be seen very clear

the original would be around 3000x2000 pixels, if wanted i can post it.

    Wow that's great!

What kind of device did you use?

It's way more visible than mine, I want to do mine again now :P, this one was done in a big hurry so maybe it'll be possible to get better results too :P

How did you stitch them together? By hand? If you did it by hand, try the photoshop panorama stitching tool, that works great for panoramas

its made at work, think the name is "Dage", it can tilt the head and do a lot of cool things. its made to make electronics inspection...
thats also the downside, i could zoom into a 3x3mm area, but the maximumg is 30x30mm, so the n900 must be stiched

yes stiched by hand (what can be seen...) i will try the tool, hopefully i can get it smoother
