i used "Restore Original Settings" in "Settings", when N900 reboots, it shows up the "Nokia" screen, and on the left top concern in green colour it says "Malfunctioning, device shuts down in 10s" then it shuts down, I wonder what is going on???

Nop.

Maybe its a good idea to take a picture (or a video) for the community sake.

And then, reflash! Its like the "Restore Original Settings" function, but waaaaay cool

thanks for reply, it happened randomly, will try to take a photo if it happen again

If it happened only once and randomly, then I would diagnose that your device got its knickers in a twist (technical terminology). I would not worry unless it happens repeatedly, or you can't boot up.

Happened to me once. It rebooted and didn't show it any more.

it happened this morning after deleted some app too make space for PR 1.2 and this 5am and hasn't stopped reseting ever since

it happened to me this morning i'm pissed cause it won't boot up at all it happened from 5am this morning till now

hello! For me also this problem of "Malfunctioning, device shuts down in 10s", I in any way can not include a telephone say me how to decide this problem. very thank you for a help!!!
