Absolutely. And to those bleeping whiners who say they can't fit that laptop-that-is-a-laptop in their skinny jeans, I've got one answer:

(Yeah, it's for the iPad, but a 9" netbook or a U820 drops right in...)

No doubt we could use better features and yes we will demand them from nokia but for now its as cool as it gets...

yeah dude you thought we were getting tablets with mozilla and firefox browser with adobe flash 9.4 and 1GB application memory with 600 mhz processor in the year 1990

I think I would really like a tablet with a detachable phone
This would be amazing! There was a concept phone done by a phone mag with this feature but it never came to fruition.

I need the screen estate and the OS power but what I really don't want is to advertise or hold a bulky phone. I cant be bothered with BT headsets.

You are correct, since the 2G radio on the N900 is the weakest of any phone I have owned (not as bad as the Sammy T349, though)- so it is like no other

In spite of this, the N900 rocks for us game, media and net rubes:

1. Great sound quality from head phones & decent stereo speakers .
2. Best Flash content of any current device
3. Only device of this size with full support for the up-to-date MAME (137.1)
4. Duke Nukem rocks on the N900
5. PSX4ALL appears to be progressing to greatness
6. Video plays great
7. 32gb built in and the media integrates with the external card too

In spite of the wimpy 2G radio, I must agree with the OP Still, the 3G seems to work very well, in contrast to the 2G (shame 3G is not in more areas where I live).

BTW, the stereo speakers on the N900 are louder and sound waaaay better than the new Sony FX laptops. Seriously.
