I've got this same problem, my catalogs are invisible. Do I have to reflash if I haven't installed rootsh yet? I downloaded the rootsh.install package to my phone but that doesn't help
big problem with application manager, Operation failed plus showing no apps installed although i can configure my catalogues. I have tried disabling/altering the ones suggested but no luck, i cannot install rootsh as app manager says there is no application found even though i have the install file saved to memory. my log is:
hildon-application-manager 2.2.52.2
E: Encountered a section with no package: header
E: Problem with Mergelist /var/lib/apt/lists/download.maemo.nokia.com_fremantle_ssu_apps_._Pack ages
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

Have you tried disabling all the repositories, exiting App Manager, then going in and re-enabling them all? That should clear out any old (presumably corrupt) files.
