Maybe im wrong i tried the wrestling games under U format but they crashed, but Resident Evil NTSC worked, let me know how you all go trying diffrent region games cheers

actually ive already tried driver, NFS 1 and gran turismo 1
i think at least one was ntsc, but all crash after bios loadscreen..

ive only got tekken 1 to run..


i think maybe the game need to be copied in a certain way......?

I'm pretty much only running PAL (eu) roms on psx4all.. and they work just fine, and tested them on both pal and ntsc bios roms.. still work just fine.

F.ex. I'm in the middle of playing FF7 from PAL discs right now :P

can you please tell me which settings ur using for ff7? i cant get past the first fight without crashing...


i'm using a pal copy,
have .bin or a .iso i made from the .bin if one works better than the other.
find it runs smoothest with bios 7502 and cycle at 4
latest version of psx4all

anything i'm missing?

I started playing FF7 when the latest release was 0.3.0-1m4, and i got past the first boss then i believe.

I just play it with cycle multiplier on 10, and used bios's 1001 and 7502.

I do not expect many 3D based games to work very well unless the GPU is used like in the iPhone version. It is impressive how Smoku has gotten the app to work as good as it does without the GPU function. I would not have thought Hot Shots Golf would be almost perfect gameplay without GPU assist, but it plays great

What code is involved in getting the GPU to work? Is it a case of activating and linking current function of the app to the 3430, or a rewrite? If a rewrite, we will need to ask some of our Maemo coding elders to get involved.....

Thats maybe why Smackdown 1 and 2 dont work they were gpu intensive, wonder if smoku is enabling the gpu any stage at all?

Most likely, but based on current performance without the GPU, the N900 could become a legend if activated

iPhone and HD2 have GPU activated PSX emulators that play 3D games smooth, but most games are mainly eye candy, due to the lack of hardware buttons. The touch controls only work well for simple games.

The N900 would have a huge advantage over those devices.
