gFTP on my N810 running OS2008 has worked well in the past. But when I recently tried starting it, I received the 'gFTP - Loading' message, but then...nothing. The application never appears.

I've uninstalled gFTP and reinstalled it, but no change.

I suspect something I've installed / uninstalled in recent months may be at the root cause.

I can't afford wiping the tablet and reloading every thing. Any suggestions re: how to debug this problem? Is there a log I can check that might contain useful information?

Hmmm, may be related problem, but Maemo Recorder isn't working -- starting a recording shows a 'blank' status box in the upper right-hand corner and no recording takes place. Stopping the 'recording' displays a larger blank box in the center of the application.

Possibly related?
