Ouch, sorry to hear that. I guess restarting does not fix it...
Anyway, you could try to install MPlayer via
apt-get install mplayer
and then play the files in /home/user/MyDocs/.sounds/
Hope that helps.

I am stuck on the Canary Islands with my N900īs screen totally unresponsive.
I am looking for a way to run my media files using xterm.
