I don't know if you've heard of it, but there is a web site called YouTube that hosts videos on all sorts of different topics. (Sorry if you have.) In regards to Mobile Firefox, there are plenty of videos:

I guess the new question is: why didn't the mobile firefox dev team say this in the FIRST PLACE as an alternative???

Like you said: It's not a perfect solution, but it WORKS!!! Thank you!!!
just the once would be fine ; P

not sure why they never said anything. Some easy to understand user documentation would be great, I'm still trying to find a way to search text but have no idea how.

@crashdamage
I just imagined the cursor to be there even if I couldn't see it. then shift and arrow are standard buttons for highlighting. I was suprised it worked.

Fyi, the latest .deb of Fennec 1.1a2 integrates auto-rotate (WITH the same functionality - back/forward etc, unlike microB). Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off.

Hmph. No HTTPS server and no GPG signed deb packages.
No wonder, Intel and Nokia wants to dumb DEB-format and transfer to RPM-format. DEB-defacto-policy is just flawed, who dare to deny.

LOL! Sorry, couldn't help myself. Thanks for being a good sport about it.

The interface has remained largely unchanged... so, those videos will give you a good idea of what it looks like.

OK, the Firefox download page omits the N800 from its list of supported hardware; but it installs.

However, it seems not to let me paste -- is this because I'm on an N800, or is this really still not implemented for any Maemo device?

Also, I get no context menus and no menus from a dropdown or from the hardware menu key. This normal?

See Cue's posts in this thread #244 & 252 for how to copy-paste.

Swipe the screen left or right to get the sidebars.
