if your using the latest 0.3.9 the bios directory has moved now from home/user/ to home/user/MyDocs i had the same problem, moved it, runs fine again.
thanks for the reply, but since then i managed to pass the fight, updated to the newer version, eventually ignoring dependencies and such, and now psx4all wont even load no matter what i do, havent seen anyone else with this problem and i reckon i've bugged people enough over this app so i'm just gonna have to have some patience and live without it for now!

then ran x-term in root
cd MyDocs
dpkg -i --force-depends psx4all_0.3.9_armel.deb
moved bios to home/user/MyDocs/
and presto works fine, but i imagine till pr1.2 ill have to update this way also.

thanks, actually checked the other psx4all post and realised i had the 3.5 version from a day or two ago, got 3.9 and its working... til the exit after the first fight, still, improvement! and its only happened once so i'm not worrying, try again in the morning since i've seen the intro vid sooooo many times i may gouge my own eyes out if i have to sit through it again now!
and these little tests just make you appreciate things more when they finally do work eh?
definatly lol, makes it all worth while, ive had no problems with the fight scenes as of yet so hopefully its just a one off for you matey, if still no good i could post my memory card file one save at sector 6 and the other at the first reactor after meeting barret. And as for red alert ill see if i can find my rom file, but you know there is a port for it called Open Red Alert but it is buggy though only skirmish and crashes when telsa fires.
- ff7 runs fine with cycle multiplier to 5 very playable
- metal gear solid freezes after the FMV after pressing new game
-resident evil directorscut dual shock edition runs with cycle multiplier to 1 but very slow
-ff8 and ff9 freezes on the PS logo at start
-tomb raider freezes after pressing new game or training
hello, I'm new to this but want to help. have tried the following;
FF 7, works fine. cycle multiplier to 7
carmageddon. very slow. graphical glitches.
pandemonium. crashes at load screen.
x-men vs street fighter. slow but playable.
colin mcrae rally. crashes at load screen.
I am using the 3.9 version but have old firmware (2.2009.51-1.205.1) so dont know if this affects the emu
Will try more later once I have ripped some discs.
Some Q's. 1, Can I place more than 1 bios file in my docs and if so how do i select which one. 2, anybody with advice for running colin mcrae please (my fave ps1 game)
