found a bug i think , i went to settings quick launch and clicked on a tab then decided i didnt want to change it and clicked blank space but on the main screen it selected angry birds as it was the 1st on the list and the ok button was greyed out.
(I will investigate if it depends on the HildonTouchSelector)

Hello,
I've just released a working version of quick-launch (0.3).
Quick Launch is brainstorm implementation : http://http://maemo.org/community/br...tatusbar_menu/
It's basically a statusbar item that shows four buttons each of which can be configured through a control panel applet to set a shortcut to your preferred applications.
It's on extras-testing now : http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...ck-launch/0.3/

), and I can add a button to run a program on-the-fly (like Alt+F2 does on standard desktop).| The Following User Says Thank You to b0unc3 For This Useful Post: | ||

Hello guys,
today I waked up with an idea on my mind regarding quick launch. Since I've realized that having it openable by a key shortcut or similar is mandatory, I think I've reached a solution.
For example when you open the camera shutter (so that also the others request would be satisfied) it doesn't make appear the statusbar menu (since it seems impossible, I have received no reply on that) , but, instead it make appear a simple dialog where you can choose the app you wish.
Now, why a dialog ?
A dialog can potentially contains n-icons of apps (or, moreover, all the apps you've installed in your device), and I can add a button to run a program on-the-fly (like Alt+F2 does on standard desktop).
Other option would be make all the things live together : having the statusbar applet that contains your "more preferred" applications and the dialog that contains all (or n) apps.
Before going on to code , I would like to know what you think about it ?
Best Regards,
Daniele Maio
So I agree, who wants to stop at 2 rows!
