I just bought the Nokia n810 on eBay, which I really like, but I am having trouble getting a few programs to work. They were some of the main reasons I got the device.
Is there a way to get aircrack-ng and a sniffer (wireshark or something like it) working? Is there a better way to find things instead of googling for hours just to find a prerequisite? Is there any good way to do a webcam chat with the n810 and a PC, too?
Well, if they were the main reason you bought the device, maybe you should've checked out if they were compatible?
As far as I'm aware, it's currently impossible to use monitor mode on the N810. What this means is that at best, the only packets you'll see come through are the ones directed (or coming from) your network adapter, nothing else. You won't see any other computer connected to the network.
There was an initiative to have an Open Source driver that would be able to provide monitor mode, and maybe even packet injection, but as you can see, the project is pretty much dead, and hasn't been worked on in over two years.
Apps like airodump still work if you want to map the networks in your area, but please note that most of these wifi apps are CPU intensive, so your battery will get a beating.
I have a few unrelated questiions (I could open up a new thread, or just keep using this one).
1) Webpages keep getting distorted and instead of looking how they are supposed to, they block a big piece of text where its not supposed to go. Sometimes textboxes are rearranged.
How can I fix this and why is it happening?
2) I try to connwct the SU-8W bluetooth keyboard I bought with my device but after I type the pair code on my n810 and hit ok it immediately gives some error saying it couldnt connect and if I would like to try again. I don't have a chance to touch my keyboard.
