I've been having some issues connecting my N900 to the bluetooth system in my new Toyota Yaris. I managed to get the A/V remote control profile (AVRCP) working by reconnecting the device in untrusted mode and accepting all prompts, but the music still won't autoplay on connecting to the device to the car's bluetooth, even if the media player app is already open. If I issue the 'Music' command to the bluetooth system, it will start playing music, and I can skip tracks back/forward, so AVRCP is obviously working to an extent.

I understand that you can use dbus-monitor to examine messages sent around the OS. Are there any dbus gurus around who could tell me what I have to type into x-terminal to monitor what the bluetooth stack is doing, and what messages are being sent to the media player? I tried just typing 'dbus-monitor' as root, and I can see stuff being output every time I change track, etc, but it fills up the terminal history too quickly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to dig around a bit first before I raise a bug report.

Thanks,
~Loz
