So on wednesday i turned off my 770 and then restarted it. The normal nokia title never showed and some vertical lines showed up where it should have been. It still boots just no images, and it flashes but still nothing on the screen. And to see the lines most of the time it has to be held at an angle. Can anyone help me??
Thanks

Try leaving the battery out for a bit and then try reflashing. If you don't have any luck after that, I would recommend availing yourself of Nokia tech support. I believe the 770 carries a 1 year warranty. There have been lots of horror stories on this forum about people trying to get hardware repairs done by Nokia in a timely manner, so I don't envy you.

Is the screen on and white? It really sounds like the infamous White Screen of Death (WSOD) . Its a LCD driver chip failure in which case nothing can be done to fix it, the unit needs to be sent in for repair.

Syliss - does your screen look like this or this (see attachment)?

If either one, it's almost certainly a White Screen of Death (WSOD) and will need to be returned to Nokia for repair. Don't worry about it being out of warranty, this fault is due to a design defect.
