    maybe over the push notifications i guess this should be possible to receive them you can read it and the switch back to skype i think ...

    3rd party multi-tasking plus local Push servers is a huge step for this OS. This unlocks some serious handcuffs.

    Unless we see a gargantuan shift in marketable battery technology, I think this type of 'multitasking' actually has an advantage for handheld devices.

    they introduce html5 as replacement for flash too. does anybody know if html5 is still experimental or are the "api" now useable for anybody?

    What I like is that they said PSP and DS were their main competitors in the game market.....and that they blow them out of the water.
    Its two completely different kettle of fish lol.....

    Apple are up to the old tricks of adding things in that everyone else has had for a while then saying "We can do it better, for 4x the price"

    now i would like to know about the other 93 new user features *lough*

    they bring the new os for the 3gs and touch 3gen ... for 3g and touch 2 gen without multitasking hmmm...

    This "state-based multitasking" isn't new, either. While I won't claim Nokia was the first, the N800 and N810 provided the ability for applications to save their state to disk via the libosso API and be suspended when the available memory was low. Unfortunately, I believe the only third-party app to do this was Xarchiver...
