Hey guys,

I was given an iPod nano 3g 4gb YEEEAAAARRRRSSSS ago, but now I am dusting it off so I have something light to take with me to the tennis courts. (In all other cases, I use my N810 and Canola2.)

I would like to use my tablet as the big daddy that syncs music to my nano. Has anyone tried this, and if so, what programs did you use?

Thinking bigger, I can imagine being anywhere in the world, but keeping my MP3 library on my home computer. Then using SCP, download the MP3s to my tablet so I can sync them over to the nano.

Thanks!
H.

hm if i remember it right, then there is an alternative to iTunes which is an open source project. Maybe that could be used to sync the N900/N810 somehow?!

Yes, there are a few alternatives (gtkpod, gpodder, etc.), but given the USB power limitations and perhaps missing libraries on the tablet, I didn't know if I should even try. If I were able to just drag and drop into the iPod, then life would be good, but you know how apple is...
