Hello

I have found much better place to put your files than rapidshare etc.

Is dropbox.com, you can store for free 2GB at the begining and there is no comercials and timers. You just paste a link, someone clicks it and it's start downloading and you are not getting pissed.

If you want you can use my link and expand my account
https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTMxMzAzNjU5

It want you to install propertiary deamon, but you can skip it and use web interface

hmm guess it would be a cool idea to have an app on the N900 to directly upload (or download) files from there.
If i remember it right there is an app for the iPhone and for Macs to do it.

A Dropbox client for Maemo has been discussed a few times, but essentially the problem is there's no publicly-available API for Dropbox, so it's relying on Dropbox themselves to develop a Maemo client.

I was thinking rather about using it to share debs, and other files people normally share with some annoying file share services.

Anyway, I think you can easily use web interface on maemo(I didn't test it)

there is a votebox for adding features to dropbox. You can vote for a maemo client here

There is an app for ubuntu, it's not compiled for ARM though, and parts of the app are closed-source.
