    portable win7/winxp/erd/ubontu/more tools... from n900 - WORKSֱֱ

    helo

    i secsessed to make a full

    portable windows xp (not bartpe) on my micro sd card and to boot on any computer .
    i use modified xp cd installation and install on a fat32 16g microsd card than i simple boot from nokia.

    BARTPE i use pe2usb and add minint folder to the micro sd
    ubontu i simple extract ubunto live cd to the micro sd
    erd2005 i use erd.iso and ram_xp.img
    acronis i use acronismedia.iso
    i also add more many useful bootble tools all work fine

    for loader i use grub4dos (install grldr to microsd and add menu.lst for th menu items)

    but for do it perfect i want install full win7 on the sd , i already have win7 on my disk on key its work fine....
    for install win7 i must format the micro with ntfs file system.
    i has install client modules ntfs but the n900 not recognize the sd...
    what can i do???

    So you succeeded in booting Win XP on the N900 ? if so, how did you do that ?

    1. you need to modified the xp installation cd see this link
    2. power off or eject all other local hd drives
    3. boot from your modified cd and install winxp normally onto micro sd

    Wild guess: do you mean you installed Windows 7 on microSD, then put the microSD into the Nokia N900, then connected the Nokia N900 to a computer via USB, then booted Windows 7 in that computer from the microSD in the N900?

    If so, then I at least misunderstood you (and I guess most current readers of this post)... may I suggest editing the thread name and/or post?

    how can i add ntfs support ???

    (all those installations i use the sd directly from the n900 not from Adapter )

    When you say modified..was it modified to run on an ARM CPU? The dependencies would be all wrong..

    And did the OS boot from the start ie choose whether Maemo or XP. Or did you boot XP from Maemo?

    all those os boots from the sd in your pc - they not running in the phone screen
