you need to download rootsh from the application manager then run

    sudo gainroot
    apt-get install --reinstall mp-fremantle-generic-pr

    sudo gainroot
    apt-get install --reinstall kernel kernel-flasher

    that should work for you.

Well at this point the only thing is to do a hard reflash.

I've created a new thread on finding out which apps can be used to burn in, benchmark and stress test the N900 after overclocking.

Benchmarking apps for N900 - How fast is your N900?

If you do know some good tests for us to use and compare, please do let us know.

This is the problem but i cannot install this package via app manager or using xterminal or titans kernel method (which caused the problem to begin with)

getting "E: package kernel-modules-maemo needs to be reinstalled, but can't find an archive for it."

    Did you try this Ronaldo?

You will not make a complete flash by downloading the kernel to computer and using flasher-3.5 metod. You will just swap the kernel. It might not work either but is worth a try. And see to have made a backup before you try it.

    Letho Please ...

    Put here for us http://www.saunalahti.fi/crailt/
    Kernel>>> (zImage-1000MHz) and (zImage-1100MHz) - (zImage1000mhz-500dsp)

Put in an area Written For example (Suicide Test)

I wish to run the risks and test the maximum that the N900 can reach with the kernel NORMAL (no voltage Amended)

For the X-terminal I find it very complicated!

    Poste for us please!

    Thanks!

    Ronaldo

Try the PC flasher. You can download it from here
You need to press U while turning the phone ON (so reboot your phone) to enter the upgrade mode. You can download the latest firmware from here. If you need more info on how to do it, see this page
