    Hi!
When i surf the web and make a desktop shortcut of a favorite, the N900 makes a capture of the page but, how can i edite this icon to show a image, or a text, that can describe better the site that shows?
Like the factory icons of Maemo about Ovi Store, Google, Maemo Select...
What is the directory that stores these icons?
    Thanks in advance!

You might find it in the wiki under "Customising Maemo" ?

How would i access this directory? I dont see the "usr" folder or any of its subfolders inside my phone. is it only accessible through root? if so i want to edit the icons and am not sure how i can replace the icons through the terminal.

    /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon

Or use a 3rd party filemanager via x term to get root.
