Hi, I have had a whole lot of packages missing which I have installed. However the one I can't install is sharing-fmms. It says it "can't find package sharing-fmms"
any ideas please........
Yes, I've seen this at times as well. I *think* this is actually a bug in GTK/Hildon/something else as the list is properly populated when scrolling down. I'll see if I can narrow it down and file a bug against the proper component.
I don't know if it matters, but it actually does the same thing scrolling down. I found this out yesterday as I was trying to get suitable screenshots (but since you've seen the issue, no need to post them). (=
FYI frals, I looked into share via service problem and was able to duplicate contacts not loading issue.
I verified that it loads my addressbook with >273 contacts. I did this by printing length of get_all_contacts in ContactHandler __init__().
But for some reason contact chooser dialog only displays 'Voicemail' as only available contact to choose from.
I'll keep digging tonight
BTW, if I manually launch fmms_sender, contact chooser shows all my addressbook entries. So this problem only happens when 'share via service' calls back fmms.
This issue with being launched from share vi is pretty interesting, the contact list is properly loaded if I add a line that doesnt execute until the window closes (line makes the app throw an exception), otherwise it just refuses to work... Going to do some more testing

i'm facing some difficulty with this program. after i did the required settings for the APN & the configuration, now i tried to open any received message but i get nothing.. it show "fMMS: Trying to download MMS..." till it disappear but the message haven't be opened..
any suggestion?
this was since the old version till now, although i've updated it to V 0.7

also my fmms doesnt open automatically when i click the push txt.
First of all many thanks to frals for creating the fmms app
Now with mms (on other phones), it gives you the option of being able to send sound or a movie upto 300kb (I think).
With my old C902 even though it too had a 5mp camera it gave you the option of being able to record a video specifically for mms (20 seconds) then afterwards it would automatically compress it to within the 300k specification, and allow me to send a video.
Does anyone know if the N900 has the ability to do this, and if so, is it likely that we can see this being integrated into fmms or some other mms type app in the future?
If its not been suggested already, can this be a request to frals to develop this functionality to fmms. Thanks
Yes, 'multimedia' should resolve to an IP, otherwise something is wrong with the settings most likely. You could try to manually connect to the MMS APN, then try to open the MMSC url in your browser which should give you an indication if all your settings are correct at least
Odd. Doesn't work. I also powered up my last phone and cheched its settings. Same settings for MMS AP and it sends MMSs just fine. When N900 connects no "multimedia", and the browser fails.
The old phone doesn't have the ability to ping or anything, so I'm a bit lost. On the odd(er) side, I connected with a bad password and it still connects and gives IP. Hm.
