things are changing rapidly at the moment.
Linux doesn't need file extensions.
with the latest approach all settings are stored in /etc/default/kernel.
with the next update the script will be shipped in the package.

thanks titan! will keep kernel21 until the script gets included in the update.

may i suggest a setting for the lowest possible voltage with 125-850 cpu throttling for those (including me) who want the best possible battery life?

I'm mounting a standard cryptsetup formatted LUKS partition, which I can mount using Jebba's kernel.

Flashing yours, 22, I get the following after reboot:

Check kernel for support for the aes-cbc-essiv:sha256 cipher spec and verify that /dev/mmcblk1p2 contains at least 133 sectors.

Are you sure you have dm-crypt enabled and also sha256?

@Titan: The reboot loop may be related to USB/IP since the only difference in my script is that I also modprobe vhci-hcd.
When I was checking why my settings weren't applied, I commented out the whole /etc/event.d/kernel-maemo file except 'modprobe bq27x00_battery' and 'modprobe vhci-hcd' and felt into the reboot loop. (Since there were no more reboot loop protection).

Just to let you know.

EDIT:
BTW, I think you should store the settings in /etc/default/kernel-maemo instead of /etc/default/kernel

you mean you commented out everything and not only commands
between "script ... end script"??
the modprobe stuff is dangerous anyway as it would fail for the stock kernel.
Ideally it should go to /etc/modules but somehow this file is ignored on my device.
yes, /etc/default/kernel-maemo is the plan.

when you modified the defaults file make sure you remove /etc/lastboot before you run "start kernel-maemo" or reboot.

well..no

Obviously, I did comment only between script/end script
but the fact are the loading of those 2 modules was ok before maemo22, but I was loading them after hidlon-desktop, not after dsme.)

I'm reading this thread since it begun. Great stuff! I managed to install lithos kernel and all was fine but now I'm stuck with titans maemo22 kernel. It's getting too complicated for me.

I've installed maemo22 but I don't get it how to set the frequencies. *noob*
What code do I have to type in x-terminal to get the ideal settings.

OK, didn't modprobe them before. Doh... didn't realize they were compiled as modules... Slaps head...
