yesterday i was using the internet on my break and left the browser open when i put the phone away for an hour in my locker at work,it normally looses signal in my locker..i came back to it and the battery had pretty much emptied itself and the phone was very slow.
when i got home i looked more closely, phone was much warmer than normal and looking at battery graph it show the processor at well over 50% solid.
also noted that virtual keyboard on sms doesnt work or if it does pop up then it lets me type one letter then the letter turns blue with the cursor the wrong side of it and the phone totally locks up requiring me to power it down,
have left it switched off but on charge all nite, still the same, removed the battery and still the same.have just left it off now.
now i am a complete noob at this phone though have had it for a few months and love it,i just have no exp at programming or flashing etc..
what can i do?
cheers!

Launch xterm (its in more folder), type top, look what takes most of cpu (p - sorts by cpu, m - sorts by memory, q - quits)

probably just 1-4 % of cpu and that's just normal. It handles GUI of your phone.

ok processor seems to have dropped right down now since i took the sim out but it still completey locks up when i try to type an sms via virtual keyboard(qwerty pad works fine)...
top button gives the option to end task but it doesnt actually end it meaning i have to hold it down to power the phone off..
everything else appears to work normally.

I'd suggest reflashing then.
