So I've looked everywhere on this forum and couldn't find a permanent solution for key scratches on the screen... People who have been trying those transparent repair liquid kits aren't happy with the results and unfortunately no one has a alternative solution to offer.

What can I do to repair this? It's so visible that it's always the first thing that my friends and I see when the phone is being used. If it means to replace the plastic cover on the screen, I'll do it... but I can't find a store that sells it.

Thanks

There is no way to repair it. The only way is to change the plastic screen. There are some online shops that sell those. It has been posted here previously. If you do a search you'll find it.

if the scratches are small, a screen protector will hide the scratches AND, as an added bonus, prevent new ones from occurring.

Put over an screen protector, scratches will be less visible.
Front plastic is part of touch screen and is selled as a subansamble for 60e

polishing ultrafine can hide some scratches. i polish my polarized glases with limited success ( i have many polarized glasses but those i polished have perfect neutral gray color and i prefer them when i drive )

Yes, but that's not chocolate related. I'm just a sad, lonely old geekess.

I fixed a Nintendo DS a couple of years ago and discovered that a sheet of plastic covers the toucharea and screen.

All I did was replace the plastic sheet and that was it.

Hopefully the n900 is setup the same way.

It would be great to find out if it is possible to replace the screen plastic cover and what the cost (cover and work) would be.

I put a Zagg screen protector on mine.
Screen reacts still so great as before, but the level of finger "slide" over the screen is not as smooth as with the original screen cover.
