Sneak preview of what I've been working on tonight.

Who can spot the addition? (apart from the *really* bad drawing/layout, there's a lot of unfinished work in progress/bugs here).

    Looks great

I finally got this installed and its a great improvement over the stock one lol. Not sure if this has been mentioned ( I read 90% of this thread) but the only thing I could find wrong was that extra long names cover the timestamp.

Yeah, I did. I found 'grab it from extras-devel via HAM'

I'm a bit new to all this, but as far as I can see HAM is the App Manager on the, eh, 'screen with the 15 icons'. Perhaps that screen has a name, like home screen, but I don't know. As you can tell I'm new to the N900

Anyways, in that, I don't see a category called extras-devel, I see Network, Desktop, Development, Education, Games... no extras-devel. But I was pretty sure that I'd see Facebrick under 'All', and well I don't.

Incidentally, it's a bit annoying that pressing the letters on the keyboard doesn't jump a list to that letter and you have to use your fingers to scroll the whole way through a long list... but that's probably off-topic for this thread.

Can anyone please explain to a new user, what very obvious and simple method of installing facebrick am I missing?

    EDIT:

What I've found out is something that is probably so obvious to most people here that you wouldn't think to point it out.

The software hosted in extras-devel is not ready for normal users!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't play with it unless you really know what you are doing. Be ready to file proper bug reports instead of posting complaints.
Expected problems: crashes, battery drain, poor system performance, full disk space & more - SERIOUSLY!

Don't play with Extras-devel if you haven't backed up your data or aren't prepared to re-flash your device.

So, now that I've found that out, I'm more than happy to wait until this is ready for people like me that don't know what they're doing! Thanks all.

    New GUI
    Portrait mode
    Photo support
'Like' now viewable in main feed

Look like it was designed using an Apple theme....

What are with the 3 arrow buttons?
Looks like Apple minimse, maximise and close?
But those 3 buttons look too small to be finger freindly.....

And I see the 'File' option.....a place to upload files?

All very exciting, great work.....send me a .deb file if ya want a beta tester to weed out the bugs....love to test stuff and be first to try.
